Cashless Treatment & Direct Billing FAQs
Does cashless treatment mean every hospital charge is covered
No. Cashless treatment means the provider can bill an authorized payer directly for the approved scope. Policy exclusions, deductibles, limits, non-covered items and charges outside the authorization can still remain payable by the patient or another responsible party.
Can Pak-Assist issue a Guarantee of Payment on its own
Pak-Assist coordinates the process within the authority given by the commissioning payer. The financial commitment must come from the organization responsible for payment or from an authorized arrangement defined for that case.
